One of the most interesting things I learned in this article was how to utilize text and colors to draw the eye — such as color picking from the photos used, using complementary colors, and the placement of text (light on dark, dark on light, etc.). Additionally, I found it interesting that illustration is often incorporated into magazines, considering I’m used to seeing just photographs.
