• What were your goals for this week for career pathways?

My goals were to mainly complete Codecademy lessons, and also to work on digital illustrations as a passion project.

• What did you achieve this week in terms of your goals?

I was able to finish all the currently assigned Codecademy lessons, and to finish one of my illustrations.

• What problems did you have?

Besides getting the flu, I had a problem with Photoshop where it refused to import any images into a file.

• How did you fix those problems?

I am not completely set with the Photoshop issue, I was able to find a way to open images with Dub, however I most likely will use my computer at home to import images and start files with them that I will put on Adobe cloud to continue working with them during lab, as it has been functioning normally with mine.

• What are your plans for next week?

My main goal is concepting/starting “poster” illustrations based off of music/specific songs or albums, a passion project I haven’t gotten to but have thought of for a few months. I also want to continue working hard on coding/Codecademy, I would love to create a solid website on my own eventually, and maybe in a few years create websites as freelance for extra income, so learning now is the main goal.

• What project(s) did you work on this week?

I worked on Codecademy lessons and a passion project digital portrait study. It was actually really helpful in understanding light/value, and I also got to play with clothing texture which I haven’t explored beyond drawing basic cotton materials, which was interesting.
